Hi everyone,
The Open Rights Group has collaborated with the Bristol Festival of Ideas to bring you Cory Doctorow and his talk 'Information doesn't want to be free'
Cory is a world renowned author, speaker, journalist and activist. He has worked for the Electronic Frontier Foundation and helped co-found the Open Rights Group here in the UK.
The event is being held at the Watershed on Wednesday 27th May at 12:30pm. I recognise that getting to a lecture in central Bristol on a weekday lunchtime will be tricky for many of you.
We've arranged a subsidy for ORG Bristol members: £4 (instead of the usual £6). Quote: 'open rights group' or 'OPEN RIGHTS GROUP' online or over the phone (it isn't case sensitive), to save the discount.
For more information or to book your ticket - visit the Festival of Ideas site:
http://www.ideasfestival.co.uk/events/cory-doctorow
I will be taking the 27th off work, so happy to hang around after and go for lunch.
Some useful links to Cory's work: find Cory's website, his talk at TEDxOxbridge and his Wikipedia page.
Ciao,
Ed

N.B. You do not need to be an ORG member to attend, just interested. But if you do want to support their work, become a member here.
