๐ฃ Awn Umar - Protecting sensitive information in memory with MemGuard
Awn will introduce us to the act of protecting sensitive information in memory, going over naive solutions and their problems, and then the solution implemented in MemGuard. How it works internally, and how to use it.
Awn is a student at UoB and codes Go in his free time, mainly
low-level and security stuff.
๐ฃ ๏ปฟHumphrey Shotton - GameBoy Emulation in Go
Over the past two years Humphrey has been coding GoBoy: a Nintendo GameBoy Color emulator written in Go from scratch. This talk will look at how a GameBoy emulator works, taking a dive into the GameBoy internals, approaches and learnings when emulating it using Go, and showing how Go isn't just limited to server side applications. Humphrey is a Software Engineer at Sparx, an Exeter-based education technology company. He enjoys coding Go for work and taming gophers on personal Go projects in his spare time.
